Hi tuesday I talked to my docter about medical abortion the injection I'm 6weeks and 4 days pregnant he gave me the injection tuesday just a little bleeding that day went back the next day he took an sonar it wasn't done yet so he gave me anothe injection I miscarriad that same day but today the pain is worst my q is when will the pain stop my bleeding is just like a heavy flow.
Hello Thanks for your query. Normally during medical abortion, no injection is administered, so I am wondering what regimen you are undergoing. Medications are given in sequence to induce abortion. After the medications, bleeding and cramping with pain generally last for a few days, and can continue upto 2 weeks. A follow up scan after 2 weeks would reveal if the cavity is empty. All the best.
Hi, There are a few possibilities-the cause of the heavy bleeding could be due to incomplete abortion and the pain is associated. The presence of an intrauterine pregnancy should be established before the abortion. The type of medication given to induce abortion has not been specified and this could also have the effect. I would suggest a sonogram to watch for retained products and if present, go for surgical evacuation under antibiotic cover to arrest the bleeding and pain. Hope you find this information helpful. Wish you good health.
