28/F 90kg urinalysis result: color: light yellow transparency: slightly hazy reaction: acidic sp. gravity: 1.010 sugar: negative protein: negative pus cells: 1-3/ hpf red blood cells: 0-1/hpf epithelial cells: occasional bacteria: rare mucus threads: rare amorphous urates: few Could you please interpret the urinalysis report? do i need to take any medications? thank you.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The interpretation of urine test report is as follows: The physical features- light yellow color, acidic reaction and specific gravity of 1.010 are within normal limits. Haziness can be due to infection or presence of amorphous urates in urine sample. The chemical tests- negative proteins, glucose, ketone bodies are within normal limits. 1-3 pus cells can be seen in normal urine samples. Presence of red blood cells suggest presence of bleeding in the urinary tract. Stones are one of the commonest cause of bleeding in urinary tract. Further investigations are needed to look for cause of bleeding. You need to take an urology opinion.
