Menopause, Brown Discharge, Jelly Stringy Discharge. History Of Yeast Infection. Treatment?
I am in menopause , for the past week I have had a orange/ brown slight discharge . I have also experienced a jelly stringy type discharge this morning with a slight yellow color in my undergarments. I was just treated for a yeast infection about three weeks ago and I was dry for about 4 days. I am concerned, what could this be?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The type of discharge you are having is likely to be due to bacterial vaginosis. A vaginal swab culture is needed to identify the causative organism. Systemic antibiotics are the main stay of treatment. Please consult your gynecologist for the same.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
