Met With An Accident. Developed Neck Spasms And Feeling Dizzy. How To Overcome This Problem?

Hi, I was involved in an auto accident Jan.11,2013 where someone cut infront of me, I hit them and developed neck spasms in back of my neck from tensing up on impact. This past week I went to ER as I had dizzy spells and some stomach nautious. My question is: Can neck spasms cause dizziness that is similar to vertigo? I hve gone to therapy 7 times and muscles in neck still tight. Thank you.

Hello,

There is always a risk of head injury in an accident like this.
neck spasm can cause dizziness.
But the problems seems to be more than just a simple neck spasm.
MRI of the Brain and spine is needed to exclude head and spine injury.(Whiplash injury).
You need to consult a neurologist.
