Missed Contraceptive Pill. Confused With Cycle. Want To Start Contraceptive Again. Advice?
Hi,
Good day!
I have missed a contraceptive pill AVA for 4 days (first four shaded tabs). i was expecting to have my period on the week (week4) prior to 4 days but i didnt. I had a wee period on Week 3 though. I was already confused with my cycle as I have been missing pills often every motnh.. Just a thought that I have messed-up the cycle.
I still want to go on cotnraceptive, but what i am going to do now?
thanks for your help.

hi.. you have missed the ocp,s... use barriers like condoms, wait till you get the period.. if not do Urine pregnancy test and serum HCG levels.. if it comes positive then see your obstetrician for medical termination of pregnancy... if you have problem in remembering the tablets, you have other options like injectable long acting progesterone injections and norplants... if you have one child, you can go for intrauterine contraceptive devices.. see your gynaecologist for this.. all the very best..
