Mole Under Nail, Gets Darker With Pain. Is It Normal Mole ?

I have a mole under my nail which I wish I could send a pic of it here. I went to see doctors and specialists around 4 times and they want to do a biopsy of my nail. I just want to make sure can that be a normal mole? It is around 2 mm starts from the route of my nail and goes to the end. It gets darker every week. some time I feel a little pain. thanks

As you having described that you are having a mole which keep on growing and paining. So its suggestive some malignant chances thats why your physician suggested for biopsy to confirmed accordingly. As its paining so now it has to removed by surgery so will advise you can consult some surgeon and your mole get removed get tested with some pathologist. And if it is benign than no need to do anything further but if is malignant (cancer) your may have to go for further testing and chemotherapy. Hope you are satisfied now.

As you mentioned in your query that there is mole extending from root of nail to end.
In my opinion as described you this is not a mole . May be ,
1 Paronychia , diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a dermatologist .
2 May be a bacterial or fungus infection . Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a dermatologist.
3 May be due to impede blood supply as color is dark.
In my opinion either upload the picture of this part or consult a dermatologist / surgeon and get their opinion.
Sometimes diabetes may be the cause if chronic and in old age as you didn't mention these things in query.
