Hi Doctor , I have a 18 months old daughter, she has developed rashes on her body which seems almost like it s chickenpox but it is more than a one and a half months now its not going away by any treatment..what can it be? and how to treat it, please guide we worried.
thanks for choosing health care magic.Dear Sunil, see chicken pox rashes do not stay for months,it has be something else.In kids and babies contact dermatitis is common,in which due to some contact allergy they get rashes on body. Some viral infections also lead to this. You should look for some cosmetic allergy also ,and if you are applying any thing in routine or for massage you should stop that and wait for couple of days.then if this does not help you need to take her to your doctor for examination and treatment.
yes please do that. But in mean time try to avoid synthetic clothes, any baby oil or any cream.Make more use of cotton. You can use anything like Vaseline or petroleum jelly which are mostly inert and does not lead to reaction. There are certain condition which takes time to resolve but still a opinion is good to take.
