bloody poop can never be normal. confirm blood urgently by a stool test. visit a doctor as it can be emergency.
many times stools may appear orangish but wont have blood in it. streaky blood in stools may eb sen in constipation. blood flakes may be seen in dysentery. many serious conditions can have blood in stools.

Hello, welcome to Healthcaremagic. Blood in stools is not normal and should be thoroughly evaluated in all the cases. You must take your son to your doctor for evaluation. It could be due to infection or various other pathologies. You should also have stated why your son had MRI. Till then keep your child hydrated by giving him fluids and oral rehydration solution. Wish him good health.

Hi Tiffany,
Welcome to HCM.
Since your child is 3 years old, blood in stool could be due to intussusception. Other causes could also lead to blood in stool.
You have not mentioned, why your son needed a MRI scan. Best would be to inform about this to your consulting physician and let him do the necessary investigations to confirm blood in stool and identify the cause for it.
Wishing your son all the best.
