My Daughter Has Bruised Toenail & It Is Red And Swelling , What Could Be This ?please Give Me Your Suggestion

My daughter has a bruise under her big toenail. She said she can't remember dropping anything on it or stubbing it. Yesterday she showed me her toe and it is now red and swollen and still bruised under the toenail. I am taking her to the podiatrist this afternoon but was wondering what you think this could be?

Hi well come to HCM.
since it is in single toe it could be only some unnoticed injury while playing or doing
some event. Since you are taking her to Doctor remove all unnecessary anxiety.
