My Resting Heart Rate Is About 96 Beats Per Minute. Is This Normal?
My resting heart rate is about 96 beats per minute. Is this healthy/normal? I exercize on a regular basis going to the gym about 4 to 5 times a week. I m 20 years old, 5 7 , and weigh 145 pounds. I eat a healthy balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, proteins and carbohydrates.
Usually with physical training the heart beat lowers that is at rest. The normal range of heart rate for adults is 60 to 90/ minute. So you're a bit above normal, but you have to measure at rest and for many times. One recording is not enough and also rest should be like sleeping rest that is not half an hour after exercising or eating food.
Edit: nataliee.xvi NO dear that is not extremely high heart rate! Extremely high would be more than 100-110 beats /minute when you can consider it a clinical tachycardia.
