Nagging Pain In Left Hand, Acute Pain On Back Of Head. What Could This Be?
Hello Doctor, I am a 30 yr old female. I often get a nagging pain in my left hand that starts from my shoulder n passes down to my elbow and wrist. This pain or discomfort is slightly higher in my elbow. I also get an acute pain on the back of my head mostly right side. I also feel tired often. I do not smoke nor drink. What could this be?
Hi ! You should get your blood pressure checked up and a blood sugar estimation done as a preliminary exclusion investigation in consultation with your doctor. If these are normal, then may be you have got some kind of capsular injury to your left shoulder the pain of which may radiate to the left arm. In that case you may get relief with some rest, physiotherapy and anti inflammatory drugs if advised by your doctor. One more condition giving rise to similar symptoms including head ache is a cervical spondylitis, which also needs similar treatment as stated above, and correct posture of your neck if you work for long hours on computers and the like. If the symptoms persist for long, you may have to consult a orthopaedician if advised by your family physician. Wish you an early recovery. Thanks.
