Neck Injury, Contusion, Left Arm Numbness. Wearing Neck Brace To Immobilize Neck Damage. Treatment?
Hello. I had a had at work where I injured my neck. I have been at home for over a week with the injury which was diagnosed as a possible neck contusion. I have been wearing a neck brace to support my neck and immobilize the damaged neck as much as possible. I, however, woke up a few hours again with incredibly severe neck pain and numbness in my left arm . What is going on?
Hi, Flagervall,
Thanks for query.
it seems that you might be having heavy strain on your neck muscles and getting severe muscle spasm giving this severe pain.
But as a week time is passed and you did not get relief what I would suggest is to go for X ray cervical region to rule out any problem with cervical spines.
After report go for the treatment and physiotherapy.
Meanwhile take pain reliever with some muscle relaxant medicine.
Ok and bye.
