Neck Pain, Swollen Gland On Spine. Have Osteoarthritis On Hip. Feeling Woozy When Getting Up. Help

HI, I HAVE NECK ACHE AT THE BASE OF THE HAIR LINE ON THE BACK OF MY NECK. I ALSO HAVE A SWOLLEN GLAND ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SPINE. IT IS RATHER A BAD ACHY PAIN WHEN I TURN MY NECK. I DO HAVE OSTEO ARTHRITIS IN MY RIGHT HIP, SO COULD THIS ALSO BE WHAT IS CAUSING MY NECK ACHE. I OFTEN FEEL WOOZY WHEN I GET UP, AND IT CAN STAY WITH ME FOR A WHILE IN THE MORNINGS.
HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT.
THANKING YOU.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might have cervical spondilitis giving you this problem.
Enlarge lymph nodes indicates some infection in surrounding area.
Go for x-ray to confirm cervical spondilitis.
Consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined.
Physiotherapy, cervical traction and short way diathermy will help a lot.
Avoid putting pillow below neck while sleeping.
Ok and take care.
