Thank you. I have a copy of my MRI report. It says there is an 8mm well-circumscribed area of fluid signal is seen within the inferior aspect of the right lentiform nucleus. 4mm well-circumscribed area of fluid signal within the left lentiform nucleus inferiorly.
It is important to know your age and symptoms with durations. A small fluid density area in the lentiform nucleus area is most likely due to lacunar infarcts which may be a result of small vessel disease which may not have caused any symptoms in the past. Please do not worry but discuss your symptoms with a neurologist. After a complete neurological clinical examination you may be given certain medications to prevent strokes. Please take your medicines regularly.
