Need Advice On Microgynon Consumption.

Hi, I am 25, have been on microgynon for about 7 years. Every 7 day break I have had a withdrawal bleed, but I am due to start a new pack tomorrow and still no bleeding. I always take the pill on time and never miss pills. Should I still start the new pack tomorrow without having a period?

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

I think that you start the new pack even if you don't have periods, but at the same time I would suggest you to do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy. Also, a thyroid profile test to rule out thyroid abnormality.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sujoy S. Bhattacharjee, OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
