Need Explanation On Blood Test Results.

my husband is diabetic since last three years he is 41 now we got his tests done and it shows that his esr westergren (automated ) is 20 mm/hr, sgpt 55 U/L ,creatinine 0.64 mg/dl, lipid profile screen cholesterol 231mg/dl, hdl 43mg/dl, ldl167 mg/dl, ths 7.06 uIU/mL and hbA1C 7.4 what does this indicate

Thanks for writing to HCM

Increased SGPT indicates liver injury.
It is important to know bilirubin level,GGT level and viral markers.Ultrasound of abdomen should also be done.
He should take tablet Ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily for three months.It will help in regeneration of liver cells.

His lipid profile is towards upper range.
At present he only need diet and lifestyle modification.If raised cholesterol level and LDL level persists then he should take medicines.
He should reduce your weight if he is overweight.
He should avoid red meat and high fat milk products.
Cook food in olive or canola oil.
He should take limited salt in your diet.
Take lot of fruits and vegetables.He should also increase your physical activity in the form of walking and exercise.
He can also do meditation and yoga.It will help a lot.
