Need Full Knee Replacement. Have Spinal Stenosis. Worried About Any Incorrect Measurement While Implant Will Cause Spinal Issues
The Veterans Medical Ctr states thru x-rays, I need a full knee replacement. 8 years ago I had spinal fusion performed by Dr. Bruce Rudin, whom I trust with any spinal issues I have. ( 1st state Spine center). 15 implants were performed. they cut the front and rear to do the surgery for S1, L5. L4 fusion. I am completely off balance, falling several times a week w/o warning. I am scared, that any incorrect measurement to place the implant in my knee will cause more spinal issues. Also included I have spinal stenois up to L1.I already have had 4 knee surgeries.. acl, both menicuses repaired, knee cap scraped to give room for joint.

Of course that after any reconstructive surgery the condition wont be perfect but you have to decide the cost /benefit of this procedure. I dont think that FKR can cause some instabillity of your spine more that this is now. It will definitely reduce pain and help you to be more mobile so you should do it if there is good surgeon.
