Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I would like to know what all you know about Bertillotis syndronm. I was diagnosed in 2010 after suffering with severe back pain and nerve pain down my leg. It took me years to get anyone to believe me about how much pain I was in until I found the right doctor who gave me another MRI and X-rays. He, himself told me that at first he didn't even know what he was looking at and had to look it up.
You may submit the report of MRIX ray. If your doc. has told you so,then probably he might suggest further treatment.
If indeed it is bertilottis, then you may require some spinal fusion surgery ( will depend on MRI report for level of transistional vertebra)
