Need Insight On Abnormal Signal Involving The Distal Supraspinatus Tendon Like Representing Atleast A Partial Tear

what does it mean when the doctor tells me there is a marked abnormal signal involving the distal supraspinatus tendon like representing atleast a partial tear. and he said that my subacromial space does appear to be narrowed to approximately 5mm. and visual portions of the glenoid appear to be unremarkable and the bone marrow signal appears unremarkable. this is an mri of my left shoulder.
