I recently had a chest ct scan and these are the interpretation: Multiple plain axial images of the chest were obtained. No untoward reactions were noted. There are fibroid-calcific densitis appreciated in the right apical area and posterior segment of the right upper lobe. The rest of the lungs are clear of active infiltrates. There are no pulmonary or mediastinal masses seen. No enlarged nodes are seen. There is no evidence of pleural or pericardial effusion. There is an apparent soft tissue fullness of the right breast when compared to that of the left. This may be prominent fibroglandular tissue. IMPRESSION: FIBROID AND CALCIFIC DENSITIES RIGHT UPPER LOBE AS DESCRIBED OTHERWISE NO SIGNIFICANT CHEST FINDINGS. Are these results worrisome? Can someone please explain as plain as possible what these mean? Thank you.
