Night Sweats, Canker Sores, Pain Behind The Ear And Bleeding Of Gums. What Type Of Doctor Should I Consult For These Problems?
I am female, 61, and my symptoms are night sweats, dry mouth, outbursts of canker sores ( approx. 1 week per month) . I have my teeth cleaned every 3 months and I exhibit some gum bleeding. I have a dull pain behind my left ear. I am on no meds. What type doctor should I see and what do you think is happening? I get blood work once a year and last time (almost one year ago) I was borderline high blood pressure. Thank you.
Hello, thank you for consulting with healthcaremagic. As you are mentioning that you have dry mouth and bleeding gums this both can be related to your high blood pressure for which you where diagnosed last year. As in high blood pressure individuals there are some inflammation of gums because of which this bleeding occurs. But this night sweats can be related to your age as after menopause hot flushes occur. So it will be better that first you should visit a general physician who will get you blood pressure check. Thank you take care.
