Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, about 6 months ago i fell pretty hard on the inside of my right knee . it hurt for a week or so but the pain faded into a numbness at the top of my knee cap and then the numbness went away. What Im experiencing now is when I run or tap my heel on the ground with some force, I can feel that numbness return briefly when I make impact with the ground. I think this numbness is coming from the inside of my right knee ( medial meniscus ) and I wanted to make sure that this was not something that was going to come back and haunt me when I go on a 4 week ski trip this winter. Is this a sign that my knee will blow out? Im not noticing any pain but a few weeks ago when I was exercicing my right knee became very irritated (the skin was very sensative). Any advice would be welcome! thank you very much.

Nmbness In The Knee After Falling. Reason?
Hi, At this point, I d suggest to have an X-ray of the knee and consult an orthopedist for further evaluation. Meanwhile, I advise to avoid heavy exercises for another 6 months. Hope it helped!
