Norovirus, Diarrhea And Vomiting, Clay Coloured Motions
My 3 year old son had a bout with the norovirus . After days of diarrhea and vomiting, he started eating some solids. His first two bowel movements were clay colored, but then went back to normal. I have read that clay colored stools are a sign of bile trouble with the liver. Should we be concerned with the brief bout of clay colored stool?

Hi...as now the stools are normal...you need not worry unless they reoccur...a bout is acceptable considering that he has just recovered from a viral infection which can impair liver functions...
