Noticed Sores Inside Of The Lips, Under Tongue And Gums. Cause? Brushing? Tooth Paste? Mouthwash?
I noticed around a month ago due to stress I believe that I started to get canker sores on the inside of my lips, under my tongue, and on gums . I have used medicines and used a specific one called Kanka and think it got on my lips and numbed them one night. When I woke up the next morning I noticed my lips had a reddish ring around the inside of them and still occurs from time to time and not sure if it was the medicine or what but it's the only thing that touched my lips differently. Also my gums under my lower lip I notice are red and kind of inflammed but no bleeding which is good. What could be causing that? Brushing too hard? Toothpaste? Mouthwash?
Under extreme physical or mental stress aphthous ulceration occurs in oral cavity. These occurs due to unknown reasons but low vitamin B12 levels may further predispose to development of ulcers. I would like you to try relaxation exercises and to not to take undue stress. Psychosomatic component is main factor for development of aphthous ulceration. You can take Vitamin B Complex capsules for immediate relief.
hi... thanks for the query... most common cause of such type of ulcers are stress and vitamin deficiencies... just apply local anesthetic gel over the affected area... take vitamin B-complex... if the ulcer is quite big, try out placing B-complex powder directly over the area involved... take good care of your diet as well... take plenty of liquids... avoid hot and spicy foods... use very little amount of toothpaste (pea size) and ultra soft tooth brush... avoid using any kind of mouthwash for time being... hope it will help you... take care...
The cause for your mouth ulcers could be simply vitamin deficiency and stress or drug induced. But please do not be worried.
First take a 15 day course of vitamin B complex and see the results.I think it should subside.if not please, visit your dentist once and get it examined clinically.Relax and avoid all kinds of stress.
Maintain good oral hygiene along with nutritious diet.
as per your clinical presentation it seems you are suffering from stress induced aphthous ulcer.its a very painful condition with excessive salivation.
best part is its self limiting and heals in 5-7 days..worst is,it is recurrent in some individual ...treatment is only symptomatic ...for immediate relief apply a topical anesthetic ointment ... get well soon ...take care..
Apthous ulceration usually develops due to nutritional deficiencies specially vitamin B12 , stress. I would suggest you to avoid any stressful conditions. Apply hexigel topically over the affected areas. Take complete balanced diet with lots of fruits, juices, raw vegetables. Drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated. Maintain a good oral hygiene.
Take care!
