Not brought on by exertion . I had neck pain and my left arm felt heavy but fingers numb. Did an ECG which showed inverted t waves. Bp 168/89 hr 82 spo2 98%. I was given aspirin 300 mg and bloods sent. Trop I came back ok. I was discharged with gtn and aspirin 75 mg. No shortness of breath No cough No medical history other than childbirth. Overnight I ve had intermittent brief episodes of chest pain and numbness to arm continues. What could be the cause of this ?
Welcome to HCM. Inverted T wave with systolic BP.169 and pain in the left Sh.joint indicates myocardial ischeamia. Pain in the neck and numbness in the arm might be due to compression any nerve at cervical level. Also go for cervical x-ray for further diagnosis. New molecule of Beta-blocker is advisable. If symptoms persist then angiography is required. Avoid oily, junk food. Take salt restricted diet. Keep in touch with your doctor.
