Nuclear Stress Test With Spect Imaging Done. What Does Findings Mean? What Should Be Done?
A nuclear stress test with SPECT imaging showed: a small reversible perfusion abnormality of mild severity of the inferoapical wall, no fixed perfusion defects; LVEF was normal and calculated at 57%; there was evidence of a small and mild ischemia in the inferoapical wall; left ventricle was of normal size; regional wall motion was normal; no evidence of infarction. Did 5 minutes of treadmill, reaching stage III of Bruce protocol, achieving workload of 10.0 METS. Baseline heart rare + 65 & increased to 137BPM at peak exercise. Resting BP = 102/64 and peak BP was 120/79. What does this all mean and what should be done. (I am 72 years old, 6'1" tall & weigh 175 lb.)
Hi Above data is suggestive of within normal limits, regular EKG tracing (Ambulatory EKG monitoring) would be more beneficial, this is right time to change your life style keep habit of regular exercise keep away from mental stress, small ischemic changes in this age is fairly common and nothing to worry about this but there should not be any further changes like this and for that do as I stated here. Have great day
