Numb Cold Arm After A Fall. Have Swelling And Redness. Need To Get An X-ray?

I work a nanny, I was coming down the stairs when i fell a few steps (bout 5) they are extremely steep steps. I hit my arms really bad and landed on it. It is swollen and red, I scrapped it pretty bad and figured it hurts as I probably bruised it. But now a few hours later my arm is cold and numb. It is kind of tingling all over especially in my hand. Should I get an X-ray? Id think id know it if it was broken?

Hello,

By the history of the injury it looks pretty bad at the onset.
It is bruised and swollen.
It is more likely that there may be soft tissue injury and bone involvement.
Tingling and numbness indicate to nerve injury.
Consult an Orthopedician for more help and information.
