Numbness And Weakness In Left Leg. Ultrasound Shows Cyst. Treatment?
i have numbness and weakness in my left leg. the pain in my groin area and the feeling like someone boot me in the upper thigh has pretty much gone away; but if i try to do too much the pain comes back. i can not walk without sometimes losing the strength in my leg and running is very difficult from the weakness. i was running up to 20 kms and now can not even run down my laneway without feeling like i am going to fall. i had an ultrasound and i do have a cyst that is only 1.8 cm. today i have been having sharp pains running from my midthigh to my knee, i feel a bit sick to my stomach and anxious
It sounds like serious condition and right diagnosis should be established. There can be vascular or neurogenic disorder so you need first to check legs blood flow and EMG. There can be also nerve compression in lumbar spine or this cyst compresses surrounding vessels and nerves. There can also be some degenerative neuropathy so if nothing is found, nerve biopsy should be considered. Wish you good health and recovery.
