Numbness In Left Arm While Eating, What Could Be The Cause Of This ?
Over the past two weeks my boyfriend has been complaining of numbness in his left arm. The weird thing is he says it only happens as soon as he starts to eat (any kind of food) and then stops when he is finished eating . What could be the cause of this? Ps. He is 24 years old, a smoker & and on the chubbier side but i wouldn t consider him overweight .

hello dear,there is definitely some nerve compression, so he is feeling the numbness.while eating is related to the movements of hands.There r man nerves emerging from the brachial plexus.kindly visit an orthopaedic surgeon for help.

numbness of arm result when there is any sort of abnormality in relation to cervical spinal nerve (the nerves coming out from neck portion of spinal cord) . so any injury to neck area, diabetic condition , any growth on the spinal area could be. During eating feeling such that means during movement of hand or lifting of hand he is feeling. another cause if he is using computer maximum that can put pressure over neck and spine could be the cause (just telling the most comon causes). for confirmation you should go for MRI .
