Occasional Constipation, Heaviness In Stomach, Cramps And Low Appetite, Tests Normal, Recurs After Stopping Medicines. Advice?

IAM 67 YEAR OLD. 4 YEARS BACK I WAS OPERATRD FOR CA RECTUM .IAM OCCASIONALLY SUFFERING FROm CONSTIPATION OR INDIGETION. HEAHYNESS IN STOMACH, LITTLE CRAMPS AND LESS APPETIE.DR HAS PRESCIDED ME SOMPRAZ L,MORESE SR AND ELDICT FOR 15 DAYS. IF I STOP MEDICE THE TROBLE START AGAIN. I AM DIGNOSED FOR IBS .SONOGRAPHY CBS AND CEA BLOOD TEST ARE NEGATIVE CONSISTANTLY POST OPERATION.CT SCAN FOR ABDOMEN, COLONOSCOPY AND ENDOSCOPY PERFORMED 2AND HAHF YEARS BACK ARE NEGATIVE. I AM HAVING CONSTANT WT OF 62 KG .PLEASE ADVICE ME PROPER TREATMENT THANKS.

Hi,

Since you have maintained the weight and reports are negative as you have mentioned there is no recurrence of cancer as of now, so no worries, stress or anxiety as these are common causes of IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome.
I can understand the stress one goes through.
Continue the medications like Sompraz, Morese SR and Eldict.
Also look for the foods and beverages that cause the problems and avoid these.
Also make a list of foods and beverages that suit you or help in passing the normal motion and continue with these.
Stop worrying as all the relevant tests are normal and this will help to get you relief.
