Old Aged, Had Bus Journey, Diffuse Redness On Right Lower Leg, Got Patch, No Pain. Consult Doctor?

I have a concern about possible cellulitis of lower legs in 83 year old female who just returned from a 10 day tour bus trip 4 days ago. She has diffuse reddness on right lower leg approximately 6 inches above the ankle - mostly on anterior surface; small patch of same on left mid shin area, no complaints of pain in either extremity. Should she consult her internist tomorrow & seek antibiotics?

Hi,
From history it seems that this edema might be due to long period sitting in the bus giving rise to dependent edema over legs.
Put her legs in raising position.
Apply ice pack for 2-3 days.
As there is redness on the part a course of antibiotic will be helpful.
Ok and take care.
