Old Aged, Weakness, Depression, Tired. What Should I Do?
I am a 5oyr old lady. from last 4 months I have developed weekness and dipression. I am un able to get up in the morning. always feel like sleeping. I feel week and un able to stand. I got all parameters checked up in lab. Drs say every thing is normal. I wasalso admitted to a big hospital for 3 days. They gave drips and said everything is normal. I still feel very week. pl tell me what to do?
Prolonged weakness and depression suggest chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia. Both conditions often overlap. Cause of both diseases is unknown but it can be due to previous infections. To diagnose it other diseases should be ruled out like liver diseases, thyroid disease, adrenal disease, cancer etc.
If you have not got these labs then you may perform ESR, thyroid profile,LFT, CT scan and MRI.
You should also consult your psychiatrist for further evaluation.
Hope it helps.
Take Care!
