On And Off Clumpy Greenish, Yellowish Discharge. Regular Periods. Test For STD Negative. Possible Reason?
Hello. I am 31 years old and I do not have any children but considering in the neat future. I have a regular period and throughout my teenage yrs and adulthood I have always discharged which is normally clear or white which is completely normal; however, for the past 6 months my discharge has done a total 360. It has been on & off again a clumpy greenish/yellowish color. It doesnt have a smell nor itch. When I 1st noticed it I immediately made an doc appt & my std results were Chlamydia & Gonnorhea were negative. I was told everything was ok but for some reason it just doesn't seem that way too me. My worse concern is I'm hoping anything wasn't overlooked which could prevent me from having children.
Greenish or yellowish vaginal discharge is usually not considered as normal. If the discharge is persisting you once go for vaginal swab for culture and sensitivity. By this all possible organisms can be tested. If the test comes as negative also, if the discharge and symptoms persist you take one course of antibiotics. That can possibly help in decreasing the discharge. If infection diagnosed early and treated properly that may not affect the fertility.
