On And Off Dizziness, Esr 38. CBC, Lipid Profile Tests Normal. Advise?
Hi, I am a 31 years old female. About 20 days back. I started feeling dizzy. It was on and off. Went to see my doctor two days back and he advised me that it will so after competing a course of three weeks and in the meanwhile he asked me to take some tests like CBC, ESR. Thyroid and Lipid profile test. CBC and Lipidprofile tests are normal, whereas ESR is 38. Kindly advise

The raised value of ESR does not indicate any specific disease.
It is a non-specific test which is raised in number of conditions.
It is raised in many chronic diseases like tuberculosis, rheumatoid arthritis, SLE, osteomyelities, etc.
The normal range of ESR in females is 0-20 mm in first hour.
The value of ESR falls with weaning of the disease process.
You need to consult your doctor for complete clinical examination to find out the organ/ organ system involved.
