On Eutroxsig. Have Hot Sweaty Flushes. TSH Normal. Increased Stress, Anxiety. Go Off Thyroxine?
Hi There,
I am currently taking half a tablet (25mg) of eutroxsig. I have been on this medication for 8 weeks now. Since the last three weeks i have been suffering from hot sweaty flushes. They come and go and i get very hot and sweaty. It is very uncomfortable given that it is 10 degrees. (not hot at all). I am a young 19 year old girl, who only went on medication because of high antibodies. TSH has always been normal. Along with this i am on combined pill yaz, which i have been on for 4 months. Along with hot, sweats, i have increased stress and anxiety, which is very unlike me. I am overseas for 8 months and do not have access to a english speaking doctor. Would you sugest going off thyroxine. or reducing my does to a quarter of a tablet. Thank you for your help.

The signs like hot sweaty flushes, very uncomfortable at 10 degrees, anxiety are for hyperthyroidism. Check for T3, T4 and TSH once more. If normal you can stop the drug since you started this not for hypothyroidism. But keep checking atleast TSH for once a month or if you develop any signs of hypothyroidism.
