management of diabetes, especially type 2 diabetes could challenging when it comes to manipulating the drugs. However, patients must never take any decisions to change the drugs or modify the doses with prior consent of the treating physicians. this is particularly important because the physician considers aspects of the past medical history and other cormobidities that the patient presents with before making a prescription.
Drugs not controlling blood sugar could be due to non respect of other life style change habits like improper diet, or sub normal doses or the patient might another class of the anti diabetci drugs to be associated. In some rare circumstances, insulin could be needed.
Changing the drugs is therefore very crucial in diabetes care and follow up. I strongly suggest you discuss with your treating physician first. Thanks and kind regards,
