Open Wound Near Testicles, Burning And Itching, Dryness. Will It Be Okay?
My son has an open wound between his legs near his testicles. it started as a burning itchy feeling and developed into a small dry hole. Thought it was jock itch so I went to the pharmacy and puchased Lotrimin an applied it to the area. The burning stopped , but the hole got bigger and deeper from his scratching during his sleep. What should I do?
Hello
Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have developed a ulcer over your thigh which followed after scratching. Please do proper cleaning and dressing of the wound regularly and apply topical antibiotic ointment ..
Take some antibiotics like Ampicillin along with some anti inflammatory medication as per advice and prescribed by your family physician. It should heal up in two weeks.
