Hello,
अति सर्वत्र वर्जयेत.........excess of anything is bad !
And you have opened your mouth to excessive limit, isn't it ?
The loud popping noise you just experienced is due to sudden dislocation of temporomandibular joint, the joint on which your jaw opens and shuts. All your symptoms, like earache, ringing in the ear and grinding sensation on jaw movements are the result of joint dislocation.
But don't you worry, it is an easily curable problem.
Don't try to put excessive strain on your jaw joint.
Don't open your mouth fully.
Eat soft food, esp. that which doesn't require chewing.
Take warm saline gargle.
You need an antiinflammatory and
analgesic.
Get an X-Ray of left T.M.Joint done, and consult an
ENT Specialist.
Your TM Joint may have fractured, or else there may be
ligament injury.
This will need the correct and early treatment.
Take care.
Wish you speedy recovery.
