DEAR MADAM

PCOD MEANS POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN DISEASE, WHICH IS CHARACTORISED BY MUTLIPLE CYSTS OF VARIABLE SIZES.
IT IS CAUSED BY INCREASED BODY WEIGHT AND EXHIBITS VARIOUS LEVELS OF INSULIN RESISTANCE AND HARMONAL IMBALANCES GIVING RISE TO ALL THESE SYMPTOMS

THE TREATMENT PROTOCOL DOES NOT INCLUDE HORMONAL TREATMENT . IT INCLUDES
1. WEIGHT REDUCTION AND LIFE STYLE MODIFICATION.
2. TO REDUCE THE INSULIN RESISTANCE YOU NEED TO START TABLET METFORMIN 250 MG TWO TIMES A DAY, THAT IS 500 MG PER DAY AND GRADUALLY YOU CAN RAISE IT TO 1000 MG PER DAY.
3. FINALLY IF YOUR PROBLEMS DO STILL PERSIST THEN CONSIDER TAKING HORMONAL REPLACEMENT THERAPY CONSULTING YOUR GYNACOLOGIST.

THANKS
