Pain And Bruise On The Knuckles. Difficulty In Bending. Chances Of Broken Bone?

I hurt my knuckles on one hand over 4 weeks ago, I can move them still and could slightly move them at the time so thought nothing of it, I just assumed they were badly bruised, but even now after all this time it still hurts to bend them, they feel slightly different when I push on them compared to my other hand and they are slightly darker shade than my other hand. Are they broken or is it possible I just chipped the bones slightly?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
If there is a definite history of injury to the area, then a bone injury needs to be ruled out after an X-ray. This can be due to inflammation of tendons too. Till then do take a mild pain killer for relief.
