I've had cellulitis 2 times after joint replacement surgery. Now I seem to have it again after knee revision and synovial tissue removal . I have had diffuse PVNS removal several times in the left knee. Today internist put me on Cefadroxil 500 mg 2x a day.. 1- how dangerous is it to have it 3 times. 2- my arm hurts where I had it last year. (in hospital for antibiotics, home on a PICC line for 6 weeks, more oral antibiotic for
2x/day. My arm hurts where I had it last year. my ankle & lower leg hurt so badly I can hardly walk. 3- If I go through with cataract surgery will I get it again?

Hello.Any incision or puncture in the skin (surgical intervention, evacuation of fluid in a joint ...) can be infected the skin(cellulitis is skin infection).
It can sometimes happen accidentally various infections in the same person without it being dangerous.
A different situation is if you are diabetic or you have arterial circulatory problems, in that situacion cellulitis can have complications more frequently and your doctor should give you to take antibiotic before incision or puncture, and constantly control the incision or puncture area.
With cataract surgery does not have to happen the same situation.
I wish you good health.
