Pain Due To Sprain In The Ankle. Feeling Feverish. What Could Be Wrong?
I sprained my ankle about a week ago but most of the swelling went away and i ve been able to walk fine with little to no problem. Yesterday I tried marching on it for maybe 30 minutes but it there was a small burning and so I stopped. Now today my ankle hurts (I executed that) but I m beginning to feel feverish. No one around me is sick so now I m wondering are my symptoms related to the sprained ankle?
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The sprained ankle and fever if it is associated with an increase in the swelling, pain and redness is indicative of an infection in the area. You need to do a hot fomentation in the area and if the signs of active infection appear then consult your physician for appropriate treatment.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
