Pain In Left Wrist, X-ray Showed Sprain, Wearing Braces. Developed A Small Lump, Painful To Move Thumb. Suggestion?
My left wrist has been hurting for about two monthes I ve seen a dr and had ex-rays done was told it was a sprain and need to rest it and wear a brace for two weeks. After two weeks it was feeling alot better but then about a week later the pain returned there is a small bump on the side under my thump its painfull to move my thumb and movement of my wrist hurts
The x rays would have ruled out any fracture to the bones. Since these were normal then the pain is likely soft tissue pain.
Soft tissue pain can involve the muscles, ligaments or tendons.
The small swelling or bump that you are noticing may be a ganglioncyst. This cysts can occur in any joint but is most commonly seen in the hands and feet.
You can consider re visiting your doctor for an evaluation.
I hope this helps
