Pain In Lower Left Side Of Abdomen After Lifting Weight, Increasing During Bowel Movement. Suggestions?

I lifted a heavy object last night, and experienced this dull pain in the lower left side of the abdomen. It gets aggravated with flatulence and while passing bowels.
From the other questions on this forum I gathered that it could be a muscle spasm, but is there a way to rule out hernia?
I have not protuberances in the area or around the scrotum.
Kindly advise.

Hello,

Increased intraabdominal pressure leads to hernia if the anatomical orifices are weak.
If there was an inguinal hernia than there will be a swelling around the groin area.
Muscle spasm is most likely cause and it will revealed by rest and analgesics.
