Pain In Side Of Head, No Blurred Vision, Tenderness Above Ear, Headache
Hi,
I had severe infrequent stabbing on the right side of my head for two days on two very localised spots (it changed from above my right ear to around the back right of my head.) i would say the pain was about 8/10 and was worse/occured more frequently when i was sitting down. no blurred vision, except after i had the stabbing pain..i put that down to me squinting when the pain occured. My head is now very tender above the ear. I cant even brush my head or lightly touch the area..
the stabbing pain has gone today (forth day after it started) but I have a terrible headache kind of like a sinus or head cold headache.
Hello user, There are many differentials of the most terrible headache. But most of the times it comes out to be migraine, but there are more severe illness of brain like meningitis, temporal arteritis, Hypertension etc which should be definitely diagnosed.
I rather suggest you to go to nearby neurologist and get a CT Scan or MRI of your skull done to rule out any lesions in your blood vessels, as seen in temporal arteritis.
hope my info helped you regards, Dr Hari Om Chandrakar MBBS
