Hello dear, The symptoms as mentioned in your post indicate that you might be having Trigeminal neuralgia. It occurs due to any pathology in the nerve fibre, as a result of which pain gets transmitted along the course of the nerve. Intense pain in the temple & swelling of a vein (as mentioned in your post) is characteristic. Management will involve analgesics+Gabapentin preparations. In your post, you have not mentioned about history of Hypertension, Diabetes, Thyroid abnormality, etc. Under such circumstances, investigations like complete blood count, estimation of blood pressure & blood sugar levels and Thyroid profile will be helpful to rule out any pathological cause for the symptoms. A CT scan or MRI of brain will also be helpful. Till then, maintain adequate hydration & nutrition status, avoid stress, exercise regularly & practice meditation. Wishing you a Good Health. Take care.
