Pain On Ankles. Red Blotches, Swollen. Whats This?

When I removed my shoes on Saturday after walking all day I notice a pain on my ancles. I thought I had been bit by a bug or something. When I looked at my ancles I had red blotches on them and they were swollen. It is now Monday night and they look the same. No pain really just scoreness like normal after walking whole lot. I have never had this before.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems that you may be having insect bite.

There is painful swelling with erythema with soreness.

Your descriptions clinch towards insect bite induced dermatitis and cellulitis.

Thorough examination is needed for the diagnosis.

For that , you consult dermatologist.

Antibiotics , steroids and anti inflammatory drugs may improve the condition.

Local antibiotic may be needed.

Elevation of leg may be helpful.

Wash with dettol antiseptic is neccessary to prevent further spread of infection.

You may be benefitted.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
