Hi.

Your presentation indeed directs our attention towards a gastrointestinal cause. My suggestion would be to look into the digestive tract with a more detailed investigation, i.e. an endoscopy with the option of a biopsy when tissue of abnormal nature is visualized.

This would provide more details on what exactly is happening. A 24-hour acid pH monitoring can also be done if your doctors are suspecting increased acid production to be the cause to rule out/diagnose this.

But et me also inform you that after removal of the gall bladder, digestion of certain types of food does become difficult which can occasionally cause pain or other symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, etc. So keep your mind open and trust what your doctor tells you, but not without investigative evidence to support their diagnosis.

Wishing you the best.
