Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
Enlargement of spleen to 13.7 cm is only a mild enlargement of spleen. It can happen due to chronic illnesses, repeated infections, gut infections like typhoid fever, parasitic infestations, etc. A detailed blood examination is needed to find out the cause. In some cases, an old illness might cause an enlarged spleen which subsides later after 3- 4 months of infection.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
