Painful Molar Tooth, Inflammation In Gum. Tried Flossing And Rinsing. What Is The Reason?
I am 14 years old and I have been experiencing some pains on my second molar tooth. It has recently started growing and the gum around it was inflamed. Also the inflamed gum covers most of the tooth. It hurts when i close my mouth, eat food, and when I spit out water while brushing my teeth. I have been brushing, flossing, and rinsing my mouth with mouth wash, but that doesn't seem to make the problem any better. I would like to know what I can to help the gum less inflamed. Thank You.
According to your information I thing you are not having any tooth pain..isn't it? I think the pain is due to inflammation of gum...
Your second molar tooth have not yet been erupted fully...so while closing mouth your upper molar tooth hurts the soft tissue covering the lower molar...
Don't give pressure on that area while brushing...
Don't give any hot fomentation from outside,,that may worsen the existing inflammation....
hi... welcome to HCM forum... i would suggest you not to brush and floss the area involved... just go for warm saline rinses 6-7 times a day... also visit your dentist... he will irrigate the area between your gum and tooth... will also prescribe you antibiotics and anti inflammatory drugs... if necessary, he will also make the gum area out of occlusion by simply grinding the opposite tooth little bit... symptoms will subside after that... and inflammation will go completely after your tooth erupts... don't worry... take care...
The above symptoms which you are facing is due to the erruption of the second molar, you just keep the area clean. Take lukewarm saline and antiseptic mouthwash rinses. Difficulty in mouth closing is due to pain and inflammation. Take a course of antibiotics and analgesics under the prescription of your Dentist. If the inflammed tissue is causing trouble, can be removed surgically, discuss with your Dentist.
Hope you find this as helpful.
Regards...
